Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Do you charge extra for medicine or special treatments?

No. We do not upcharge for routine and necessary medications or treatments. We also do not upcharge for housesitting tasks for overnight visits or poop scooping the yard!  The price you are quoted is the price you pay, no hidden charges!

I can board my dog for cheaper at my vet, why should I use your service instead?

Boarding is stressful for dogs and cats. It's loud, uncomfortable, and it's not home. Boarding can also be risky if you have a pet who is older or has a compromised immune system.  For some animals, they are very used to a routine and while staying in their home is still going to be different than if you were there, it is monumentally less disruptive for your pets.  We also do everything we can to keep all schedules for walks, potty breaks, medications, and feedings to minimize disruption for your pet. Play time, snuggles, and walks are all part of the rate you pay.

With an in-home pet sitter, your house is also watched. We will bring in the mail, turn the lights off and on, etc. at no extra charge.

My neighbor or friend will watch my dog for free, why should I pay for your service?

Having a neighbor or friend is definitely more comfortable for your pet, but things can happen where they may not be able to make it to your house.  If you use our service, there are no worries while you are gone.

Also, if you want to keep us "on call", we can come do an intake and have all of your information, keys, and pet needs just in case.  We can give you peace of mind should something prevent your friend or family member from making it to your house.

I use someone from Rover.com for dog walks and vacations. Why should I use your service instead?

Having someone familiar with your pet is definitely more comfortable for your pet, but things can happen where they may not be able to make it to your house.  Many Rover.com pet sitters work independently and in the case of an emergency, they might not be able to make it, putting your pet in a potentially dangerous situation if they don't get a timely visit or a "friend" helps them out and comes to your house. They also might not be available every time you need them.  If you use our service, there are no worries scheduling a vacation or emergency visit.

Also, if you want to keep us "on call", we can come do an intake and have all of your information, keys, and pet needs just in case.  We can give you peace of mind should something prevent your regular sitter or Rover.com sitter from making it to your house.
